What is Voice Note Coaching?
Voice note coaching is a flexible alternative (or complement) to traditional 1:1 coaching.
In a typical coaching engagement, we meet live on Zoom each week or every other week for a full hour at a set time.
With voice note coaching, we still work together one-on-one, but instead of meeting live, we communicate asynchronously using Voxer.
Here’s how it works:
Once per week, you send me a message sharing something you’d like support with. This could be a question, a situation you’re feeling stuck in, or an ongoing challenge.
You can record a voice note or type it out — whatever feels easiest.
Later that week, I send you a personalized voice note (about 10–15 minutes) with coaching, insights, and next steps.
Think of it as a mini private podcast episode, created just for you, based on what you’re navigating that week.

Fits Your Life Personalized Coaching
What do I get from my coach when i’m a voice note coaching member?
Every week, I’ll send a 10-15 minute personalized voice note that addresses your weekly topic.
My responses typically include:
Reflections on how ADHD patterns may be showing up for you, along with clear, practical psychoeducation
Observations about what I’m hearing beneath the surface (including moments where your energy shifts or something feels off)
Thoughtful, actionable next steps to help you move forward
Reflection questions to deepen your self-understanding and help you handle similar situations in the future
Bonus: Wins Group
(on Voxer)
Members will also be invited to a shared Voxer group focused on celebrating wins.
Every Wednesday (aka Wins-day), you’ll be encouraged to share something that went well, big or small.
One of the most powerful change-making tools I can recommend as a coach, especially for those of us with ADHD, is to keep track of your wins, big and small, and share them with others.
Because of how the dopamine-reward system works, many people with ADHD don’t naturally register or feel rewarded by their accomplishments. That makes it harder to build momentum.
Folks with ADHD need to feel a sense of momentum to keep moving forward, but it’s all too easy to lose that spark.
Tracking and sharing your wins helps actively reinforce progress, build motivation, and get you fired up to keep going.
Why people love voice note coaching
It fits into real life
No need to carve out a full hour or coordinate schedules. You can send and listen on your own time, from anywhere.More time to process
You can pause, replay, and revisit my responses whenever you need. No more trying to remember everything from a live call.A lower-pressure way to start coaching
If you’ve been curious about ADHD coaching but aren’t ready to commit to full sessions, this is a more accessible way to begin.
What People Are Saying
Is voice note coaching right for you?
This might be a great fit if you:
Want support, but struggle to consistently show up for scheduled calls
Like the idea of having time to process and revisit responses instead of everything happening live
Feel more comfortable talking things out casually rather than in a structured session
Are looking for thoughtful, personalized input without a large time commitment
Have been curious about ADHD coaching and want a lower-pressure way to get started
This might not be a great fit if you:
Prefer real-time back-and-forth conversation and immediate dialogue
Feel you need high-touch, in-the-moment support or accountability throughout the week
Struggle to engage with written or recorded material on your own time
Know that without a scheduled appointment, it will be hard to follow through consistently
(If this sounds like you, I would recommend checking out 1:1 coaching)

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Voxer is a simple voice messaging app (like a walkie-talkie). If you’ve used voice notes in iMessage or WhatsApp, it will feel very familiar. Most clients find it intuitive within a few minutes.
-
Your membership includes one topic per week.
You send your message between Friday and Monday
I listen and respond between Tuesday and Thursday
This structure helps keep things consistent and ensures you get a thoughtful response each week.
-
You’ll receive reminder emails when it’s time to submit your topic.
That said, it’s your responsibility to send it in each week. Missed weeks aren’t rolled over or refunded.
-
A great topic is n area in your life right now where you just feel stuck. Things are not working the way you'd like them to and you're not sure how to move forward.
You may or may not recognize how your ADHD is impacting this situation. (That's ok! I will name any ADHD symptoms that I notice when I record my response to you).
Helpful things to include:
What circumstances typically lead up to you having this challenge
What part of your life is it affecting (ie, family, work, relationships, etc.)
What you’ve already tried (even if it didn’t work)
Examples:
You’re stuck in perfectionism on a creative project that’s supposed to feel fun
You freeze up and can’t get started on a work project, even though you know exactly what steps to take
Something feels off in a relationship and you’re not sure how to address it
You received a piece of feedback and can’t stop spiraling, even as part of you recognizes that it’s helpful
-
I ask clients to submit their weekly topic between Friday and Monday. I’m in Voxer and recording responses between Tuesday and Thursday, so you may not hear back immediately, but you can expect your response during that window each week.
-
Yes, you’re welcome to reply or ask a follow-up question.
I just ask that you don’t introduce a brand new topic until the following week, so we can keep each week focused and manageable and give your original topic the depth it deserves.
Also, keep in mind that I’m active in Voxer during Tuesday through Thursday working hours. If you respond outside that window, I may not see it until the next week.
-
Voice note coaching is billed month-to-month.
When you sign up, you’re committing to one full month. If you cancel before your next billing cycle, you won’t be charged for the following month.
-
If you’re experiencing severe or ongoing emotional distress, I recommend working with a licensed therapist. Coaching can be a great complement to therapy, but it’s not a replacement for mental health care.
Voice note coaching also requires a certain level of follow-through. You’ll need to:
Remember to submit your topic each week
Engage with responses on your own time
You’ll receive reminders to support you, but ultimately the structure is self-directed.
If you feel like you need more consistent accountability or real-time support, you may get more out of live 1:1 coaching, where we meet at a set time each week.
That said, some clients find that this format gives them just enough structure to stay engaged, while still offering the flexibility they need to actually follow through.
-
You’re welcome to send your messages by voice or text, whatever feels easiest.
I typically respond using voice notes, since it allows me to share more nuance, reflection, and depth than I can in writing. Many clients end up preferring this once they experience it.
-
I ask that you keep your weekly message to around 15 minutes (or the text equivalent).
In practice, this tends to be more than enough to share meaningful context. My responses are typically 10–15 minutes long, and a lot can be covered in that time.
The constraint also helps us stay focused on what matters most, rather than getting lost in overwhelm.
If you feel like you need more space than that on a regular basis, you might be better suited to live 1:1 coaching, where we have a full hour to explore things together.
